Tuffley teen's design voted the best entry in Nightsafe competition
THE teenage winner of a community competition to design a new Night Safe logo will be presented with her prize on Thursday.
Gloucester's Nightsafe group teams police up with city councillors and businesses to reduce crime in the city at night.
More than 40 designers entered the contest with hopes of winning shopping vouchers and an Xbox 360 games console donated by The Registry nightclub.
Judges picked out 13-year-old Maia Brookes from Tuffley as the best design entry.

NightSafe chairman, councillor Jennie Dallimore said: "It was great to have so much interest in designing a logo, the standard of entry was very high. The multi agency group all voted on the winner and we are delighted to use Maia's entry. Any publicity around the Nightsafe work will now have its own branding."
