UK justice system investigated by American students
AMERICAN criminology students arrived in Cheltenham to get a taste of British justice this week.
The 18 students, who are currently studying criminal justice at the University of Central Florida, joined their counterparts at the University of Gloucestershire to learn more about how crime is being tackled in the UK. The visit, which is being run with Gloucestershire Constabulary, will see the students visiting the armoury and an interview with a crown court judge.

Carol Jones, senior lecturer in criminology at the university, said the idea was to show the variations between the two country's criminal justice systems.
She added : "The world is a small place and we have to acknowledge there are other cultures that on the surface appear to be like ours but actually they are very different. This is the best way to explore that."
