Burrowers arrive in Prestbury
A FAMILY of moles may have burrowed its way onto Prestbury allotments.
Gardeners at the site off Blacksmith's Lane have discovered mounds of earth in several areas, raising concerns that vegetables and plants could be damaged.

Tim Illot, head of the parish council's allotments committee, said action would have to be taken if the moles were discovered to have settled there.
"There are a few signs that we may have a mole problem with various piles of earth having been discovered," he said.
"Obviously it can be an issue so we will have to look into eradicating them if that is the case."
Moles are considered to be agricultural pests because they can cause damage to young plants by disturbing the soil.
Contrary to popular belief however, they do not eat plant roots.
