Underwater crew thrilled with film
UNDERWATER filming at Leisure@Cheltenham has been a roaring success, according to the crew working behind-the-scheme.
A production team has taken over the diving pool at the Tommy Taylor's Lane venue this week to film The Underwater Realm – a five-part film series about the mythical civilisation of Atlantis.
It has provoked raised eyebrows from leisure centre visitors and staff, who have seen actors dressed as sea creatures and the pool decorated with artificial kelp.
Filming at the venue finished yesterday afternoon with the pool restored to its normal use.

Eve Hazelton, director of photography, said: "The week has gone really well. We have got some great footage and now it's a case of going back to the studio to edit it and add the special effects.
"We're very grateful to Cheltenham Borough Council for letting us use the leisure centre and to staff who have been really helpful."
The film, which will preview at next month's Raindance Film Festival, will chronicle five periods in history in the lives of the Atlanteans – a civilisation said to have sank beneath the waves thousands of years ago.
