VIDEO: Big Taiko drum beats inspire youngsters
MUSICIANS showcased their talent in a Japanese percussion class.
The Collective Conscience Society (CCS) Taiko session, which means big drum, was started by retired Peter Hewitt and it is aimed at children and adults with special needs.
Peter said: "I was on holiday in Cornwall in May 2010, when I saw three girls and one boy play the Taiko. I was so enthusiastic about it, that I thought it would be great for people with autism, it has discipline and rhythm. It is something really beneficial."
