VIDEO: Slutwalk marches through Gloucester
Campaigners against rape and violence against women took to the streets of Gloucester for the city's first Slutwalk last night.
Slutwalk is an internationally recognised march which sees people donning high heels and short skirts to argue that women can wear what they want, when they want.

Campaigners on the Slutwalk through Gloucester
Gloucester campaigners walked from the Water Poet pub, in Eastgate Street, to The Westgate pub.
One of the campaigners, Barbara, from Gloucester, said: "There has been a change in attitude in the last 30 years but mostly in how sexual abuse and assaults are now more openly reported in the media which in turn raises the profile of it.

“And yet in that report about the most recent reported rape, police are asking people to be aware of their personal safety.
Sensible advice.”

“Not much of a turn out was it, and i wonder why they walked to the Westgate pub, a known gay bar. this must have been organised by the gay lobby, very strange unless these "women" were in fact transvestites.”

“We need the rolling on the floor smilie on here! I bet ms superstar was disappointed as she had her free flip flops at the ready to give to the ****s and the only potential taker was a transvestite.
I saw a young woman today about 15 years ols, very casually walking down Eastgate Street proudly displaying what seemed to be an iphone. Was she asking to be mugged? No, but she wasn't paying attention to her surroundings and was all caught up with the gadget in her hands worth several hundreds of pounds.
She was lucky if she wasn't mugged, and she was free to use her iphone but she was at an increased risk of being mugged than someone who was not seen with an iphone as easy picking.
We can all be concious of the times we live in and do what we can, playing our part in crime prevention.
The **** walk - grab a granny or grandad night more like.”
