Van driver dies in head-on collision on A40
A VAN driver from Longhope has died in a crash on the A40 yesterday.
The head-on collision happened at approximately 12.05pm on the A40 at Windrush and involved a heavy goods vehicle, travelling towards Cheltenham, and a blue Peugeot van that was driving towards Burford.

The van driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.

The lorry driver suffered minor injuries in the collision.
The A40 remained closed yesterday afternoon while police, fire and ambulance services responded to the crash.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Gloucestershire police on 101, quoting incident number 159 of September 19.
