Van driver fractures ribs in bus stop smash
A VAN driver was left with fractured ribs and cuts when his vehicle ploughed into a Gloucester city centre bus shelter.
The glass of the bus stop in Worcester Street was smashed in the collision, which happened in the early hours of Sunday at around 12.50am.
Police had cordoned off the shelter, which was littered with shards of glass.
It remained out of use yesterday.

A Volkswagen Transporter van, which was registered to an address in Buckinghamshire, was involved in the crash.
A Gloucestershire police spokesman said: "A man was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with fractured ribs and cuts.
"The vehicle was recovered and the road was reopened at around 3am once it and the vehicle were cleared."
