Warning as cold front ready to hit
SUB-ZERO temperatures are expected to hit the county later this week and an alert to be ready has been issued by forecasters.
The Met Office is predicting icy conditions to descend on Gloucestershire with temperatures plummeting to as low as -4C (25F). The worst weather is expected to hit on Thursday but it will gradually grow colder before then.
They have advised there could be an increase in the health risks to vulnerable patients and it could disrupt the delivery of services.
People could awake to a frost this morningbut it should reach 4C (39F) this afternoon. Tomorrow morning will be chilly with temperatures ranging between freezing and -1C (30F).

It will remain cold throughout the day, falling to -2C (28F) in the evening.
There is also the chance of showers in the afternoon.
Overnight into Thursday, temperatures will dive to -4C (25 F), and there will be some fog and mist around.
Temperatures in the morning will rise slightly to -2C (28F) and in the day to 1C (34F).
