PROGRESS on a new track can be followed online.

Creators of the Churn Valley safer cycle and walkers' route, which runs between North Cerney and Stratton, near Cirencester, have produced a website.

It shows residents a map of the route – using the existing bridlepath starting at Bowling Green Lane and running via Baunton and Perrotts Brook to North Cerney – and updates on its progress.

A group was set up in 2008 to update the bridlepath, which is still suitable for horses.

Group chairman, Paul Hodgkinson, said: "People are always asking me where the route is and what progress is being made."
