“Work on flat roof caught alight but the fire brigade was called in quickly.
At 14:06 Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service control room received a call to a roof on fire in Westgate Street, Gloucester.
Two appliances from Gloucester North and Gloucester South initially attended. Once on scene they requested further resources, which were sent from Stroud, Cheltenham East and Cheltenham West an aerial appliance is also on scene.
Station Commander French stated that the roof was well alight and they were using 2 jets and 2 breathing apparatus to bring the fire under control.”
