Whaddon teenager wrestler 'Britney' makes ring debut
TEENAGE wrestler Hannah Williams from Cheltenham has made her debut in the ring just a few months after taking up the sport.
Under her stage name of Britney, the 18-year-old from Whaddon appeared in the Battle Royal wrestling rumble in Tewkesbury.
Hannah dropped out of further education to take up a course in street dance coaching at Bridge Training Centre in Gloucester.
She has since realised her street dance moves are great preparation for being thrown around a wrestling ring.

The slight teenager has signed up to TCW Wrestling Club in Tewkesbury and has fallen in love with the sport.
"I really wasn't happy at school, but at Bridge I found I settled in almost immediately," she said.
"They encouraged me to follow my dream. Then TCW opened in July last year and I decided to give it a go. I was the youngest member of the club at the time although now I help train children much younger than me who come along to find out more about the sport."
Hannah trains with her older brother Curtis, 17, who is also a keen wrestler.
She has designed a range of outfits to wear during her bouts, inspired by the punk movement with flashes of girly pink.
"All other female wrestlers are dressed as rock chicks but I was determined to keep something very girly in my act so I took the name Britney and I wear pink with every costume," she said.
"I don't know what it is about wrestling that is so exciting but it is a great way to keep fit. I don't really think about the possible injuries. I just enjoy it."
Her love of dancing was only a short-term fix that fuelled her passion for her first love of wrestling.
The slender teenager has been a fan of the sport of wrestling ever since she, her mum and her brother watched it on TV when she was young.
The TCW Wrestling Club in Tewkesbury is run by fellow wrestler Jack Purser.
"Since joining the club, Hannah has quite literally thrown herself into the sport," he said.
"I fight as The Insane Star but I also book acts to come in and do showcase events."

“It is not sport, it is like dancing, acting and choreography.
That said, good luck to her and hope she does well and enjoys herself.”
