On Mondays, the Cornerstone Centre has prize bingo at 7 30pm. On Tuesday there is the launderette, coffee bar and cafe shop at 10am, from 2-4pm on the third Tuesday of the month there is the Guild of St John, kids' church 5-5.30pm and music lessons 5.30-7pm. On Wednesday there is Indian head massage, massage, reflexology, reiki and hopi ear candles. Call 01452 537495 to book. From 1.45-2.45pm there is woman's exercise and at 3.30-4pm the Fellowship group meets fortnightly. At 6pm it is the Brownies and at 7.30pm the residents' group meets monthly. On Thursdays, there is the coffee bar, care shop and launderette at 11am, the Credit Union at 11am and the lunch club at 12.15pm.

The Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund has Lunch for LINC this month and Laurence and Jackie Llewellyn Bowen are hosting a lunch at The Daffodil Restaurant on Tuesday. LINC asks people to hold their own lunches and guests pay a donation in aid of LINC. There is also a lunch at The Mayflower Restaurant. If you would like to hold your own lunch or book tickets for these events, contact www.linc fund.co.uk or the LINC office on 0845422 44 22.

Cheltenham Badminton Club is looking for players with club experience, contact Yvette on 239592 after 6pm.

The Friends of Lynworth School have a jumble sale at the school on Friday at 6.30pm. Entry is 30p and there will be refreshments.

The Gaptime Project in Whaddon is taking part in the Echo's competition, the Barclays community makeover competition. Please collect the tokens in the Echo and drop them into the resource centre. The Gaptime Project is a group of teenagers from Whaddon Youth Club who carry out voluntary work in and around the community.

Adults, why not contact the neighbourhood project to see what learning opportunities there are for you? We have courses on literacy, IT, painting and also if English is not your first language we can help you with that too.

The after school club is now running and if your child or children would like to attend all you need to do is go along with them the first time they attend and register at the youth club in Dart Road, or you could pick up a registration form from the resource centre in Clyde Crescent. Each evening there is a different activity and sessions run from 3.15pm to 5.15pm and cost £1. Children aged eight to 14 are welcome.

The winners of the summer football tournament were: McDonalds Challenge Shield, FC Legends; Cheltenham Town's Runners Up Cup, Boys 08; The Lesley Warley Memorial Cup, Harchester Cup; McDonalds Top Team Trophy, The Business; Whaddon Residents' Association Best Behaved Boy, Mason McConnon; Whaddon Residents' Association Best Behaved Girl, Ciara McConnon; The Lorna Steers Shield, Man of the Tournament, Kofi; Whaddon Residents' Girl of the Tournament, Emma Tustin; Nigel Jones Team Sport, Whaddon United Blues; Cheltenham Federation Shield, John Hunt; The Referees' Cup (Most Improved) FC, Whaddon Midgets.

Well done to all who took part and thanks to everybody who made it possible. It raised a lot of money, which will be used to take some of the older residents for a day out.
