White Christmas 'looking unlikely'
THE chances of Gloucester getting a Christmas Day blanketing of snow are looking slim.
Bookmakers are lengthening the odds on a white Christmas after an upturn in temperatures over recent days.
Nationally, William Hill is offering 4/1, having had it at 2/1 at the beginning of December.
"At the start of the month, the Beast from the East brought with it not just icy temperatures but the possibility of snow on Christmas Day," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "Unfortunately that does not look too likely now."
