A project which takes second hand electrical goods and furniture has issued a special plea.

Reclaim, which is part of environmental campaign group, Vision 21, is desperate for more fridges and washing machines to sell on from its warehouse in the Lansdown Industrial Estate in Cheltenham. Craig Dickson, Reclaim manager, said: "We would ask that anyone purchasing brand new fridges, washing machines and other white goods from local retailers contacts the charity about their items, if working, rather than allowing the retailer to take them away.

"Allowing a retailer to take these items away can on occasion result in them going to landfill. Reclaim can collect at no charge too."

The charity also supports individuals and families on low incomes by offering them affordable re-useable furniture.

If you would like further information, call the Reclaim warehouse on 01242 228823.
