“@iijk - Get your facts correct, nuclear power stations don't just kick in now about pumped storage, gas turbine peak plants.”

“Lets hope the treehuggers don't think this is a reason to install more useless wind turbines!
There's no wind today, so that means the nearest nuclear reactor will be kicking in as we speak, LMAO!”

“If they're so sick of it, why not invest to make sure they're not affected? In recent months, the generator we installed at our town centre office has paid for itself many times over as we keep the cash coming in while the power is off.
On a smaller scale, battery UPS units for PCs cost less than £100. See IT as an asset not a hindrance and you'll be ahead of the game. Keep your till on a UPS and have a GSM capable card machine and you'll have a queue out of the shop door when everyone else is turning people away.”
