Echo Win a Wedding couple toast big day in style
IT was a day to remember for the happy couple who came up trumps in the Echo's Win a Dream Wedding competition.
Lewis Peters and Khiri George tied the knot in style yesterday, with all their wedding expenses paid for – including a sumptuous champagne reception at the Bibury Court Hotel.
The pair, from Cheltenham, were treated to a luxury day worth £15,000 after winning the competition.
And they took a moment to toast the Echo for helping make it such a special occasion.

"It was everything I could have dreamed of and more," said Khiri, 23, who looked stunning in a traditional white dress with her hair in curls.
"We would never have been able to get married at such a great venue without the money from the Echo.
"To be in such beautiful surroundings with all our close family and friends here with us is unbelievable.
"We were even lucky with the weather as the sun came out.
"Everything was just perfect."
Lewis and Khiri have been together for the past eight-and-a-half years, after meeting when they were both pupils at Cleeve School.
Lewis, who works in the construction industry, said it was love at first sight.
"I suppose I always knew she was the one," said the 23-year-old.
"We have been together for quite a long time but it has been amazing to get married in style.
"The venue was just fantastic and it was certainly a day we will never forget."
After a moving ceremony attended by family and friends at St Mary's Church, in Bibury, the couple moved on to a champagne reception at the hotel – one of the premier wedding venues in the Cotswolds.
Ben Elias, hotel food and beverage manager, said: "We were delighted to help Lewis and Khiri celebrate their big day in style.
"It's certainly a special venue here and the staff did everything they could to make sure everything was as perfect as it could have been for them."
For the Win a Dream Wedding competition, the Echo asked readers to collect tokens for a dream wedding which included a dress from the Cotswold Frock Shop, a tiered cake from the Vanilla Pod Bakery and flowers from Bumblebeez florist.
There is still time to support entrants in this year's contest, with the deadline a week on Friday. Tokens can be collected from the Echo and sent to Win a Dream Wedding, Gloucestershire Echo, Floor 3, St James' House, St James Square, Cheltenham, Glos GL50 3PR.
Entries must be in by noon on October 12.
