CHELTENHAM Bowling Club leapfrog Barnwood in the Gillanders' Solicitors North Gloucestershire League.

Barnwood are trailing but have a game in hand.

Whaddon are third after beating Tewkesbury 112-75, scoring 12 points to their opponents two.

Cheltenham's lead was at the expense of Churchdown, who they beat away 107-92, though Cheltenham managed only nine of the 14 points on offer.

Barnwood kept their title hopes alive with a 106-82 win over Cheltenham Spa.

The victory Barnwood 12 points and Spa earned two.
