A MUSICAL miscellany celebrating our summer of celebrations is coming to Cheltenham next month.
Gloucestershire and Worcestershire's very own Philomusica will be performing a special show, London Calling: A Capital Celebration, at the Tuckwell Amphitheatre, Dean Close School, on July 22.
In the concert, the chorus and soloists from this long-standing local choir will be rejoicing in Britain's unique summer of events, celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and the landmark London Olympics 2012.
The concert will form part of the amphitheatre's Open-Air Theatre Festival and sees the choir returning after a successful festival debut last year.

Philomusica, a mixed choir of around 100 members aged from eight to 80, will perform selections from great British favourites such as, Oliver! and My Fair Lady along with many other musical reminders of London.
With the event taking place just five days before the Olympic opening ceremony, organisers are hoping everyone will be in the mood for a great British knees-up.
Speaking for the festival organisers, Jess Waterman said:
"It was a pleasure to welcome Philomusica to the Open-Air Theatre Festival last year. Sadly the event was moved into the Bacon Theatre due to rain, so we're doubly excited about their Tuckwell debut this year.
"The amphitheatre has lovely acoustics and the atmosphere is magical, it's perfect for a night of singing under the stars."
Tickets cost £8 (£4 conc), but What's On has three pairs of tickets to give away.
