Winwood in tune on Hill
THE Bugatti 10K was the 10th race of 12 in the Gloucestershire County Road Race series, and many of the Bourton Roadrunners who headed to the Prescott Hill Climb for the race had their eyes on a prize.
It helped to have an incentive to run, since the course was challenging with a ruthless climb over the final kilometre and the weather was miserable.
First for Bourton and second in the race was Cal Winwood in 35 minutes, eight seconds, followed by Mike Smith who was third and first MV40 in 35.47.
Shona Crombie-Hicks had recovered from the Jersey Marathon the previous week, finishing first lady and ninth overall in 39.52.
Gents, come in to Earl's & Co and enjoy a haircut and finish, glass of whisky and a shoeshine for £18.50
