THE Wolves adapted to the wet conditions better than their hosts and took an early lead.

Liam White battled with a Gotherington defender and managed to cross the ball for Dan Hallam to put Wolves ahead.

Gotherington immediately came back with a superb strike which was expertly tipped over the bar by Matt Tilley in goal. More drama came when Gotherington were awarded a penalty but failed to equalise.

Wolves reacted by defending superbly with Ryan Marsden, Jack McCormack, Johnjo Oldham and Olly Whelan all strong at the back which restricted Gotherington going forward.

Good link play in midfield saw Toby Holland make a great run and a powerful shot which the keeper got a hand to, but was unable to stop.

Wolves continued to push forward with George Callinan, Tris James, Jacob York, Sam Styman and Colby Harvey all having chances to score.

However Wolves were rewarded when a lovely through ball from George Callinan to Dan Hallam ran on and slotted it in bottom corner with his left foot.

Gotherington never gave up and pushed to the final whistle when they were rewarded with a late goal
