Woman trapped after crash in Charlton Kings Cheltenham
Emergency services spent more than hour extracting a trapped driver following a crash in Cheltenham early this morning.
A blue Peugeot 206 had skidded off London Road in Charlton Kings around 3.20pm this morning, leaving the female driver trapped.
Ten fire fighters from Cheltenham East and Cheltenham West fire stations were called to the scene, with crew commander Stuart Matthews in charge.
The car had come to rest on its side, with the driver trapped inside. It had to be stabilised before the roof of the vehicle was removed.

Ambulance services brought the 28-year-old woman driver from Cheltenham to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. A spokesman for the South West Ambulance Service said she suffered neck and back injuries, although they are not thought to be serious.

“take them off the road, they are a danger to them selves and to other people. One was following me so close in her German Mini, when i had to brake she was so close all her shopping on the passenger seat went forward and fell on the car floor.”
