Wood sign up striker Bevan
SHORTWOOD United have signed experienced striker Jody Bevan as a player-coach ahead of their first season of Southern League football.
Bevan will combine his striking talents, which have seen him net 246 goals in senior football, with a role on John Evans' coaching staff at Meadowbank.
Hailing the signing of the veteran target man, Evans said that Bevan will give his side vital on-field experience as well as some Southern League savvy.
"Jody's experience will add something to the squad," Evans said.
