Will X Factor find a Gloucestershire star?
WITH X Factor back on our screens next Saturday, fan, Ruby Goddard takes a look at how Gloucestershire's wannabe stars have fared on talent shows – and what they are doing now.
Kitty Brucknell, from Cheltenham, got to the live stage of The X Factor in 2011.
Despite finishing seventh, she is still one of the show's most memorable contestants because of her elaborate stage performances.
Since The X Factor, 27-year-old Kitty has released a new track, Chains, on YouTube.

Early last year, she joined eight other contestants for the X Factor national arena tour and in January this year she took her Glamour and Damage Tour to Asia.
Kitty is also performing across Europe on her Pride tour.
She is set to feature on dance track No Tomorrow, to be released across Europe in October, and is currently working on her debut album.
Another successful local name is Vince Freeman, from Cheltenham, who appeared on series one of The Voice and was picked by The Script's Danny O'Donoghue.
During the blind auditions, Vince came on stage bare foot, saying that because he started singing in his bedroom barefoot, it is the only way he can perform.
This didn't prevent him being eliminated in the battle rounds.
In 2008, Vince received UK wide approval for his work, winning two awards at the 2008 UK INDY's. The 34-year-old plays more than 300 gigs a year and plans to release his own album.
Mary-Jess Leaverland, from Gloucester, won Min Xing Chang Fan Tian – the Chinese X Factor – in December 2009, at the age of 19.
When an interview she gave to the Gloucestershire Media was picked up by the national press, the news spread and she signed a contract with Decca Records.
Her debut album Shine was released in 2011 and peaked at number 57 on the UK album chart.
Mary-Jess has begun writing for her second album, and also contributed to the Downtown Abbey soundtrack.
Singing duo Katie Smith, from King's Stanley, and Harry Jones, from Tetbury, both 19, competed on The Voice this year.
The pair, known as 'Smith and Jones', made it through to the battle rounds as part of Team Danny.
This was not Katie's first attempt at a TV talent show, having previously got through to the boot camp stage of The X Factor, where she is rumoured to have been romantically entangled with One Direction's Harry Styles.
The duo continue to perform at gigs regularly.
One less well-known contestant is 'Sexy Dave', also known as David Mockford, from Cheltenham.
The 64-year-old had his self-penned single Come on Sexy Lady criticised by judges when he auditioned on The X Factor in 2006.
Despite this, David is still hoping to take the charts by storm with his debut single.
With the bar set high, at least by some, could a Gloucestershire contestant shine in this year's X Factor?
