Young Robson wins praise
HAILING England Under-20s graduate Dan Robson's rapid progress at scrum-half, James Simpson-Daniel said Jimmy Cowan's arrival at the end of the month will leave Gloucester well-stocked at nine.
Relieved with Saturday's tight victory, he said: "I love the way Nigel (Davies) is giving Dan game time and just letting him play.
"Dan's come all the way through the schoolboy system, you can tell by the way a player moves, he's got a good attitude.
"And he's in a big pivotal role, you've got to dominate the forwards, link with the backs and it's a big ask.

"He'll learn from Jimmy Cowan when he arrives too, and if you think about having Dan, Dave Lewis and then Jimmy too, that's a pretty strong set of nines there.
"Even though we nearly blew it, we're absolutely delighted with the result.
"It felt like we destroyed them in the first half, but we were only seven points ahead, and at half-time had to keep telling ourselves that, because they hang in matches by chipping away penalties on the scoreboard.
"So fair play to Freddie (Burns) for keeping landing his too, that was massively important."

“We are well stocked at nines but, if the injury to May is more than a knock, we could be running out of wings. Thankfully, Monahan said on Saturday in the Shogun bar that he will be fit again for the weekend.”
