GLOUCESTER Cathedral's organ and choral scholars will showcase their talents at a concert this weekend.

The scholars will be moving on to pastures new this summer but will be playing in the Chapter House at 11am on Saturday.

Bass choral scholar Richard Moore, tenor choral scholar William Searle and baritone choral scholar James Newby will each perform an individual programme of music as part of the hugely popular 2012 Coffee Concert Series.

Tickets are £6 on the door and refreshments are included.

All proceeds support the work of Gloucester Cathedral Choir.

At 5.30pm organ scholar Liam Crangle will perform an organ concert to include music by Bach, Verne, Whitlock and Duruflé.

The performance will be projected into the Nave via a large screen. Admission is free with a retiring collection in aid of Cathedral Music.
