Youngsport: CS Reds put defeat behind them
CS Reds U-10s 0 Lakeside Blues U-10s 3
THIS was a disappointing first game for the Reds against Lakeside Blues as they missed several good chances to take the lead.
-

star: Harvey White
It was worse in the second half as the Reds didn't play their best football – and the Blues took advantage.
Attacking the Reds' goal straight away, only some great saves from goalkeeper Lee Godwin kept the score to 3-0.

CS Reds U-10s 2 Lakeside Whites U-10s 1
THE second game offered the chance for the Reds to claim redemption.
Harvey White put in another solid display in the centre of midfield and Lee Godwin in goal looked confident.
The first goal came when Jordan Pearce played a high ball in to the area. It swirled over the Whites' keeper who got his hands to it, but it went over the line.
Then in the second half a good run into the area from Dan Withers on the left turned the defender in the area and lashed the ball past the Whites keeper for 2-0.
The Whites pulled one back from a good free-kick on the right of the box in the last couple of minutes they did score to make it 2-1.
There was a great performance in both games from Harvey White who was named man of the match.
