Youngsport: Fairford Cricket Club shines at Lord's
THE Cotswold East cricket project based at Fairford Cricket Club has been recognised nationally for its work on the Chance to Shine campaign.
Cotswold East was awarded the Project of the Year award at the Brit Insurance Annual Achievement Awards, held at Lord's Cricket Ground.

The award judges were impressed by how the project generated greater activity and increased awareness of Chance to Shine and the benefits it brings to schools, cricket clubs and the community. They also praised the success that this project has had in convincing girls that cricket is a game they can play and enjoy.
