Gloucester's A Squad gained a two-goal advantage from the first leg of their S & G Challenge Cup encounter with Solihull at Longlevens.
The hosts turned in a fine performance against the West Midlanders and after going close on several occasions took the lead when Webb and Drewett combined well to set up Cronin for a neat finish into the far corner.

The impressive centre back combination of Kyffin, Rigby Mitchell and Gilkes prevented the normally free scoring Solihull forward line from testing Gardner-Medwin before the interval and with Basford, Douce, Webb and Mace battling hard in central midfield and Berry and Collins threatening down the flanks, it was no surprise when the city side added a second.
Gilkes' header from Douce's corner was saved by Knowles, but Drewett was on hand to convert the rebound.
Basford and Drewett both had efforts saved before Cozens reduced the arrears from close range, but Gloucester restored their two-goal advantage when Douce's right wing cross wasn't gathered by Knowles and the alert Drewett pounced for his 16th strike of the campaign.

Chances were at a premium on a cold morning in the Birmingham suburbs, the hosts securing the Midland Challenge Trophy points thanks to two first-half goals.
With skipper Baron leading from the front the city team improved after the break, but apart from Priday's effort that was well saved by the home keeper, Gloucester rarely looked like scoring.

The Gloucester Girls' Squad turned in a fine second half performance to earn their second victory of the season.
After a goalless first period, Holly Beck-Esson gave the visitors the lead, then provided the assist for Mia Wilden's first strike of the campaign.
Ella Cale finished confidently to extend the city team's advantage and right on the final whistle Wilden turned in her second after Liggett had provided the opportunity.

Gloucester B earned three Geoff Richards Trophy points with a midweek victory over Orpington.
Priday finished well following Tyndall's assist but Springett levelled for the visitors before half time. With the game seemingly heading for a draw, Harris headed home his first goal of the campaign from Baron's left wing cross two minutes from time to give the city team victory.
