Youngsport: Hartpury junior netball team are crowned regional champions
HARTPURY College's junior netball team have been crowned regional champions.
The first team will now go on to represent the West Midlands in the National BCS Championship in Bath next year.
The team stormed through the pool stages in Stoke on Trent, scoring 95 goals and only conceding two in the process as they made their way into the semi-final against New College from Redditch.
Hartpury showed their prowess against a very physical New College side, winning the game 22-5 and taking their goal tally for the day into triple figures.
Hartpury College faced Hereford in the final, and like Hartpury's Sophie Masterson there was an England squad member in the opposition.
A closely fought first half preceded a flowing second period as Hartpury pulled away.
Hartpury guaranteed another goal fest in the final, adding a further 23 to their tally to finish with 140 goals scored, and only 13 conceded
