THIS was a classic pre-Christmas treat with lots of attacking play, shots on goal, and a great recovery by Slimbridge.

Minch got off to a positive start with some excellent controlled passing and strong forward runs.

Louis Russell beat a number of defenders before he was tripped in the box for a penalty which was then put wide of the post.

With the next attacking move Minch put over a high corner which was delivered to Conor Perkins who rose highest to head into the net.

Minch's Sam Marson was causing problems on the left wing and after a number of saved efforts he controlled the ball well to drill a hard shot into the corner of the net.

Louis Russell reacted before anyone to a clearance before hammering a 20 yard shot straight back into the goal to give Minch a 3-0 lead at half time.

Ben Halliwell, Isaac Vale and Aiden Riley were strong for Minch in defence with Dev Biddlecome covering every blade of the pitch to keep Slimbridge under pressure.

In Minch's midfield, Jack Abis and Connor Perkins combined well to keep the ball moving with some excellent football.

The second half was an end to end affair with Minch peppering the Slimbridge goal with numerous chances but it was Slimbridge who worked their way back into the match with some strong counter attacks to score three nicely worked goals and make it a well deserved draw.

Man of the match: Connor Perkins
