Youngsport: Rosie Williams from Prestbury wins Summerhouse Equestrian Centre Eventer Challenge
Rosie Williams, aged ten, from Prestbury, and Exmoor Pony Gaoth were in winning form at the Summerhouse Equestrian Centre Eventer Challenge.
The course consisted of first jumping a course of show jumps and then jumping a course of rustic fences against the clock.
Rider Rosie and pony Gaoth standing at just 12.2 hands high took first place in a class of 29 in the 2ft 3ins class.
Their confidence together has grown in leaps and bounds and this showed in the 2ft 6 class where they were first in a class of more than 40 ponies and horses.

Rosie has been riding Gaoth for just over a year and together with his other regular rider, Meg Partridge from Gloucester they accumulated a massive total of 8759 in the 2012 Exmoor Pony Society Pony Performance award with their nearest rival accumulating 2535.
Points are awarded for ridden classes/activities and the pony with the highest total over the year is the winner.
