Youth group in honour of Cain Westcarr
POPULAR Cain Westcarr has been honoured with a new youth club in Tredworth set up in his memory.
The 12-year-old Beaufort Community School pupil, of Seymour Road, died in June.
He used to go to the Star 66 youth centre in Linden, which closed last year leaving a gap in provision for youngsters in the city.
Now a new club has been launched in his honour called Cain's Stars, held at Parry Hall, in Parry Road, every Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm.

Cain's mum Veronica Lee is leading the sessions, assisted by her son's former youth leader Delroy Ellis.
She said: "Cain would be really proud. He loved Star 66 and was gutted when it closed. Youth groups like this are fantastic, they get kids off the streets and give them something to do."
The group is aimed at youngsters aged between 11 and 15. A number of activities are on offer including table tennis and playing instruments. For Veronica it is a first foray into the world of youth work.
"It is something I've always wanted to do," she added.
"I didn't have a youth club when I was younger which was a shame. It would be great to see more kids come along next week."
