Put the brakes on sledging fun
AMBULANCE chiefs have warned anyone sledging in the snow to be careful to avoid injury.
West Midlands Ambulance Service chiefs issued a safety warning after a spate of snow-related injuries.
Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has also been inundated with people arriving at A&E with fractures caused by slipping on ice.
An ambulance spokesman said: "We'd encourage people to just take a second to think about where they're sledging and to have fun safely."

“Patronising twaddle!
Firstly, to have 'fun' you have to take risks. No-one deliberately sets out to injure themselves, but you know what guys, sh!t happens.
Secondly, slipping on untreated roads and pavements is going to happen, even more with cut-backs, and again, surprise surprise, sh!t happens.
I really think certain sections should just shut up, and get on with their jobs, after all, if we were all to do exactly as these guys are saying, we wouldn't need them at all!!!!”
