Another charity robbed!
A charity bottle containing between £350 - £600 was stolen from the Cafe Rene in Southgate Street Gloucester around noon on the 27th April. The money was due to be handed over to "The Family Haven" a couple of weeks later. A 'gentlemen' in his early 60s 6 feet to 6 feet 2 tall with grey hair and wire framed glasses took his time cutting the cable securing it to the bar and then putting the large bottle in his bag and leaving the premises. On reviewing CCTV the same gentleman had visited the premises 6 days before and had a 'Good look around'

“Totally brazen. He even looks around a couple of times (seems to be looking at the woman reading the paper?), and then takes his time bending down to put the bottle into his bag. And then takes his own newspaper out of his shopping bag. The woman is sat looking directly at the scene of the crime - she must have been aware of the gentleman - did she not hear the money chinking in the bottle as he removed it...??? Suspicious.
Theft is bad at the best of times, but when it's money destined to be handed over to charity it's just disgraceful. Hope he is caught, and then dealt with accordingly. S***bag.”

The "Woman" is a retired gentleman with a big beard reading his paper, the thief stands between the bottle and this gentleman obscuring his view. The gentleman is really upset that he didn't see the theft.”

“Putting it on full screen it clearly shows a woman seated in the top right hand corner reading a paper on the table ......... didn't she see what he was doing ? Was she an accomplice ?
Someone must know who this chap is , it's clear cctv footage . How low can people be to steal from charity donations .”
