All cheers for Q Club's revamp
IT was all cheers for a new-look Quedgeley youth centre which is being championed as a "pillar of the community".
The Q Club, at School Lane, has been given a revamp and now boasts a cafe serving up hot meals daily with new chef Richard Burnham.
A graffiti artist was also commissioned to create a new piece of wall art.
The centre is a far cry from how it looked when it first opened its doors in October 2011.

Manager Jenni Masters said: "The centre is changing with the community.
"It's no longer just a place for young people. It's for everyone. It has become a pillar of the community.
"Dads feel comfortable coming in here with their little ones and we get childminders who meet here to talk about good practice. We also get grandparents dropping in for a cup of coffee while their grandchildren play."
Gloucestershire County Council leader Mark Hawthorne and outgoing Quedgeley councillor Jackie Hall, who is also cabinet member for education, were on hand at the relaunch on Thursday evening.
The Q Club offers after-school sessions, Monday to Wednesday, for young people aged between 11 and 16 in street dance and football-based exercise.
It supports young people aged 16 to 18 who are not in employment, education or training by offering them qualifications in sports and active leisure and providing a pathway to employment.
A youth club operates on Thursday and Friday evenings offering pool and air hockey tables as well as table tennis, X Box games and sports activities.
The Q Club also has an IT training room and a beauty therapy room.
On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 9am until 4pm, a toy and soft play area is available for parents to bring their children to.
