First for county transport board
GLOUCESTERSHIRE Local Transport Board has been praised by the national Campaign for Better Transport and the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE) for the way it works.
An assessment by the two organisations put the county body first out of 38 local transport boards based on three criteria. Richard Lloyd, Gloucestershire CPRE vice-chairman said: "This is a good outcome for the county, which should greatly improve public transport, encourage fewer car journeys and help reduce congestion."
