“I use a laundrette, and can tell you that many people with their own washing machine drive to the laundrette to do their drying. Also, there is often a commercial spin-dryer in a laundrette that does a really splendid job. All-in-all, I think that using a laundrette is no more expensive than having a washing machine and a tumble dryer at home. Many people have to go to a laundrette to wash duvets, rugs and sleeping bags, not to mention multiple football kits.”
“It looks as if Bristol Road in Gloucester will soon have a new laundrette and nail bar. There is a planning application for number 52-54 Bristol Road, which is on the corner of Madleaze Road. The premises is currently empty, but was last occupied by Discount Electrical Supplies Limited (according to the internet).
The application number is 12/01125/FUL at http://tinyurl.com/btx5358
I think that this is a good idea, as there aren't any other laundrettes nearby.”
