No end in sight to parking nightmare
WITH regards to parking in and around St Paul's.
Swindon Street has been on the waiting list for permit parking for at least the last 10 years.
We get the post office workers start to park up in the early hours, the overflow from the doctors across the road, not to forget the students six per house, most with cars.
Then if there's any room and that's a very big if, you get the people who work in town that don't want to pay to park.

My father has a disabled bay outside his house in Swindon Street.
He puts out cones when he goes out but even these are put on the path by able-bodied people so they can park up.
I've got rid of my car as I'd had enough of never being able to get in the street or even near the street.
I also got fed up with ringing up about parking permits, just to get fobbed off time and time again.
