Marcia is not pleased when she returns to her flat to find the decorating still not finished, the decorator ill, and the work being done by a painter who is a part-time actor. But when Marcia receives an unexpected visit from her married lovers wife - intent on spilling the beans to Marcia's husband - Marcia comes up with a plan to defuse the situation, in which the decorator will play a leading role, and put his acting skill to the test. The amateur company presents a comedy drama.
