Housed in the seven storeys Llanthony warehouse the exhibition shows how canal culture used to be more than an industry, and became a way of life on the Gloucester-Berkeley Canal, which opened in 1827. Floating exhibits in the recreated canal maintenance yard display the crafts and skills of the canal life and a steam dredger.
