Gloucestershire has seen as much as two weeks worth of rain in a day this week - but what is in store for the weekend?

Most places around the county are starting dry and chilly, but rain on the south coast will spread north, giving a high risk of further flooding as rain turns heavy.

It will become very windy with gales later.

There are still flood warnings in place along the River Severn from Gloucester to Tewkesbury.

On Saturday night it will be very wet with potentially damaging gusts of wind. The rain should ease by midnight with the winds also lessening through the early hours.

Gloucestershire will be given a slight reprieve on Sunday before more rain comes in.

It will be mostly dry and bright with lighter winds, although a few sharp showers are possible.

More heavy rain will reach western parts by evening, spreading east overnight.

The outlook for next week isn't much better either.

Wet and windy weather is expected on Monday and Tuesday with a risk of further disruption.

It could be drier and brighter on Wednesday, but rather cold with a risk of overnight frost and ice.

One woman had to be rescued from her car on Friday at 5.15pm as she battled through flood waters at the A417 at Hartpury.
