The award-winning Three Choirs Vineyard is situated in an area of remarkable beauty and tranquillity.

The estate comprises of some 100 acres of vineyards, open countryside and copses, straddling the Gloucestershire and Herefordshire border.

Enjoy vineyard tours, nature trail with audio posts around the vineyard, watch the story of the Three Choirs DVD and take part in wine tasting with tasting notes to take home. Call in advance to check opening hours and times of tours.

Situated close to the River Severn, Severn & Wye Smokery specialises in the finest quality fresh and smoked salmon, smoked fish and smoked poultry.

From their riverside location they specialise in locally caught wild salmon, both fresh and smoked, as well as providing a full range of other smoked fish and smoked poultry.

Visit the food-store and restaurant and see the entire fish smoking process through special smoked fish viewing windows.

From Severn & Wye Smokery to Crooked End Farm: Drive time: 20mins; Distance: nine miles

Crooked End Farm Organics, Ruardean, 01594 544482.

Located in the pretty village of Ruardean, Crooked End Farm is a small, family run, Soil Association certified organic farm in Ruardean, Forest of Dean.

They farm their own sheep, pigs, and laying hens, and grow a variety of organic fruit and vegetables.

Everything that is produced is available at the farm shop at Crooked End Farm.

The shop also stocks organic meat, fish, produce, honey, and fruit juice from a range of local suppliers.

Further along the A48, is the popular Hunter & Todd delicatessen which stocks a wide range of locally produced food and drink.
