The future is bright after Oranges and Whites win
THERE was a clean sweep for two Gotherington Under-11s sides in the Cleeve Colts six-a-side tournament.
Both teams, the Whites and the Oranges, were drawn in the same group against opposition from Cleeve, Charlton Rovers and Tewkesbury Colts.
Sluggish starts saw the Whites and Oranges draw their first games before their head-to-head ended with Whites victorious from an Oli Gordon hat-trick.
Oranges recovered well to qualify for the Plate semi-finals with goals from Archie Hamill, and Will Parkinson.

The Whites went through to the Cup as group winners with Dan Peiro, Toby Pallister and Tom Gordon providing the goals.
In the Plate semi, Will Parkinson was again on target to set up a tense final against Charlton Rovers.
Strong goalkeeping from Alex Brooking was matched by a stubborn defence of Oliver Horne and Evan Van Seckendorff.
Up front, Josh Mill competed well against robust defending but chances were scarce.
In extra time, Zack Mottershead provided the winner for the Oranges.
In the Cup, Whites progressed to the final against the hosts with another Toby Pallister goal.
Growing more comfortable on the ball, the Whites' defence of Alex Hards and Ben Donald were happy to pass it around looking for an opening.
Harry Brookes in goal was largely untroubled but dived bravely at the feet of the Cleeve forwards to smother attacks when they came.
Intelligent running off the ball from Dan Peiro and Oli Gordon set up several chances and Oli took two of them to set up a 2-0 win.
Former Cheltenham Town striker Julian Alsop presented the Cup and Plate medals to the delighted Gotherington lads
