First glimpse of 110 home plan at Travis Perkins site
RESIDENTS have got a first glimpse of plans for 110 new homes.
Dozens dropped by to inspect artist's impressions for the houses which could be built at the Travis Perkins site, in Gloucester Road, Cheltenham.

Development giant Taylor Wimpey unveiled plans for mainly three or four- bed properties, with a proportion of affordable housing.
The building materials supplier planned to hand the seven-acre plot to the developer and relocate to the site of the derelict Bonella Works factory, in Tewkesbury Road.

Planning applications for both projects are expected to be submitted prior to Christmas.
A drop-in session at Travis Perkins yesterday showed how plans might take shape.
Mum of two Chloe Murphy, of Gloucester Road, said: "I feel quite positive about the housing scheme. I think it's better if they build on sites like this."
If the plans got the go-ahead from council planners in the New Year, the new base could be built by November 2013, allowing for work to begin on the housing estate. The project could be completed by mid 2016.
However, the two schemes are mutually reliant and if one falls through, the other will too.
Simon Hoare for Taylor Wimpey and Travis said: "There are not many sites like this where there is the chance to build such a significant number of homes on brownfield land, close to the town centre."
He said although there would inevitably be some disruption while the project went ahead, it would be worth it. "You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs," he added. "But when it is finished we will have a site where there are less traffic movements than there are now." Plans are also on show from 10am to 3pm today.
