Cherry and Whites star is late replacement for Bath player
The England international headed back to Gloucester’s fiercest rivals Bath after a season at Kingsholm last month, but was already signed up for a personal appearance at Swedish clothes store Melka on Bank Holiday Monday.
As www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk reported yesterday (Wednesday), Barkley’s change of heart may not have made him the ideal candidate to bring the crowds rolling in to the new shop.
So today, Melka announced a change of plan, and has brought in Cherry and Whites and England number eight Luke Narraway as a late replacement.
Narraway will make a personal appearance in store between noon and 2pm, and will be available to sign autographs.
There will also be a prize draw, from which one customer will win an England Autumn international rugby shirt, signed by 32 players. Two runners up will win £100 worth of Melka clothing.
Customers will simply need to fill in an entry form in store on the day. The winners will be announced shortly after.
