Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was injured near Stroud.

A member of the public found the injured 53-year-old man in Edgeworth Road between Miserden and Sudgrove on August 17.

They called an ambulance and he was taken to hospital where he was treated for serious injuries.

The cyclist has no recollection of the incident but officers are concerned his injuries may not be consistent with a fall from his bike and are investigating how he got them.

The incident was reported to police on November 18.

Officers would particularly like to hear from the driver of a dark red saloon that was parked in the area around the time of the incident, as the driver and passengers may be witnesses.

Anyone with any information contact police on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 168 of November 18.
