I cannot believe that the gritters were out last night gritting in the rain and at 5 degrees, on no weather forecast was there mention of frost, the only weather warning was floods. This has already happened several times this year. It must be very demoralising for the men giving up their valueble time knowing it is an utter waste of time. The people who are responsible for sending them out should be questioned as to their reasoning behind it. If the weather gets really bad and stocks run low they ought to look back and see how much salt has been wasted.
