REPAIRS are being made to 200 year old Stanley Mills bridge in Stroud after bridge inspections revealed a section of the parapet wall needed strengthening.
The bridge on Ryeford Road South, King's Stanley, will be closed from Monday October 28. Work has been scheduled to take place during the half term week to avoid disruption to the primary school. Part of the parapet wall will be repaired using 300 reclaimed three inch bricks. The bridge should reopen by November 1. A signed diversion route will be in place.
