The idiotic vandals are still around
During the weekend 4 of the apple trees have been damaged in Barnwood Park by mindless idiots. The trees, all native Gloucestershire varieties, were planted by the Friends of Barnwood Arboretum over the last few years.
It is hard enough to fight against the elements without this vandalism to add to the problem. Once again it is just a few who spoil things for the vast majority of users to the park and arboretum.
Local councillor Phil McLellan added "the Friends of Barnwood Arboretum work really hard to look after the Park and Arboretum. It is very disappointing that their hard work is being destroyed by a small number of vandals. This just makes Barnwood Park a bit less of an amenity for the whole community."
